Screws needed for 26" SERIES 795 CHANNEL BALANCE

Quick Learner from Alabama
I bought the 26" SERIES 795 CHANNEL BALANCE but it didn't come with any hardware to install. The balances I'm replacing didn't use screws, they hooked into the holes on the top sides of the channel. What side screws should I use to install these balances?

If your old balance used a hook to install, then the Series 795 might not work for you as-is. The issue is that the hole where the screw should go is obstructed by the slot where the hook attaches.

There are a two ways to circumvent this, one easy and one hard. Before we go the hard route, let's see if easy works. To start, show me a photo of the slot where the hook installed and I can tell you what your situation is. We can then discuss the solutions available to you based on what I see.

Here is a picture of the hole. I tried to attach the new t bars to the new balances but unfortunately they do not fit.

Thanks. I hate to say it, but you're going to have to go the hard way on this one. Those round holes you're showing me here preclude any other recourse. There is no way that you can get the balances you bought to work in this window.

First, I recommend that you return those balances to us for a refund. See our return policy here for more info.

Next, you will have to place a new order for the proper configuration. These new balances will have to be custom made with that same hook at the top of the cord, specifically our 15-198. We'll just attach it for you here in the shop before we ship it out.

I'll email you a purchase link and price quote that will let you add 2 of these custom assemblies to your cart. You can then checkout as normal.

Ok, thank you. So these custom ones should basically slide into the holes and I'll be good to go? This has been an odyssey so far so I guess I should ask now if there's any other installation instructions I should be aware of. Appreciate the help.

Yep, once you have the new custom assembly in-hand then installation should be straightforward. The hook will just clip right into that round hole.
