Searching for block and tacklet balance
Trying to locate a block and tackle balance. Picture is attached and it is 26" long. Let me know if there is any other info that is needed to identify it. Thanks
Thanks for posting. This looks like a Series 795 Channel Balance. We need a little more information to further narrow this down for you. Can you show us a picture of however the balance attaches to the top of the window jamb? It should either use a screw clip, which is what our standard Series 795 utilizes, or a hook--if it's the latter, we can still help but this is not a stock configuration which is why we need to verify first. Second, please confirm the width of the T-Lock shoe at the bottom. I believe it is 1-1/4" wide, but double-check. Also let us know if this is either a 15-195 shoe, with a closed cam (you can't see through the back of the shoe), or the 15-195B open shoe (with an open back wall of the cam). Please compare and let us know what you have.
Yes, we do have a clip on the balance. It is a closed cam unit and the shoe is 1 1/4 wide.
Thanks! This photo is a huge help. So, we can make this balance for you, but it will have to be a custom order. Specifically we'll be using our S795-26 but we'll be putting our 15-198 hook at the end of the cord before we ship it out to you.
Does that sound good to you? If so, I just need two more pieces of information: first, the stamp printed on the metal channel, and then the number of balances you wanted to buy altogether. Our minimum purchase quantity for custom orders is 2.
Once I have that, I'll email you a purchase link and price quote that you can use to place an order on our site.
I hope this helps and thanks
That's exactly what I needed to know, thank you. I'll go ahead and email you a purchase link and price quote that will allow you to add 2 of these balances to your cart.
To reiterate from the top, this will be our standard S795-26 balance with a 26D stamp, but with the top screw tab swapped out for our 15-198 hook so as to match your original.
Please feel free to reach out if you had any questions.
