Sears window has broken shoe pivot need replacement part

Quick Learner from Panama City Beach
double hang window with sash weight 35.2 pounds has now triple spring balance but shoe pivot broke at half. Need to replace I guess springs, shoe pivot and pivot bars on both sides of window. I do not know what parts I need. I was wondering if I have to have 3 springs or I can do one spring with 18 pounds on one side, please help

Thanks for posting. This is an old Simonton balance system that is no longer made. However you should be able to replace it with our 15-259 Pivot Shoe and Series 159 Coil Balance springs. The video below shows how. For a window that weighs 35.2 pounds, you can use the S159-10 10.5 pound spring and the S159-07 7.5 pound spring, a pair on each side of the sash This would give you 18 pounds of support on both sides of the window, for a total support of 36 pounds (being within 1 pound of the actual sash weight works just fine). Let us know if you have further questions.
