Series 26 295 Window Sash

Question

Hi, I have a series 395 26" window sash. I just need one replacement sash but I also noticed that there is nothing on my window to actually grab on to the sash. I am not sure what parts I need on the window so it may grab on the sash. Thank you.

I can't be sure but it sounds like you may be referring to either a takeout clip like the 16-002 that catches the balance at the top of the window for removal or possibly a top sash guide that keeps the balance in place below the sash. If so, we would need to see photos of an undamaged part to confirm if we can supply a suitable replacement. See the videos related on this page to assist you.

I also see that you purchased one of the S395-26 balances. Keep in mind that we recommend replacing the balances on both sides since replacing one will cause an uneven amount of support, which can cause damage to the hardware or the window itself. Thank you.
