Simonton Double Hung Windows

Question

Need to purchase 8 balance assemblies for:
Simonton Double Hung Windows
8088643/09 30.2500 58.2500 65DHWI 50073LEAR
6/25/04 B23WH

The window weight is 18 lbs. Per your documentation, this would suggest I need (4) 4.5 lb springs in the new assembly.

Would this work with one 9 lb spring?

Hello there!

Thanks for reaching out to us. We don't sell the exact Simonton balance set up shown here but the 15-259 is our suggestion. The compatible Series 159 coil balances doesn't have a 9-pound weight but if you want to use one spring per side of the window, see the S159-09 9.5-pound spring. This would total 19 pounds of overall support. You'll also need the 15-255 support and 26-083 pivot bar. The video below will go over the replacement details.
