Simonton Vinyl Window Balancer

Question

Hello, I am looking to get a match for a balancer coil that broke. The window was a Simonton
Double coil balancer
Markings China / 2 / 2 within a circle / 1-12 number dial with the arrow pointing to 4 and a 1 & 3 on each side of the arrow (see attached pic)

The pivot shoe has broken and I am looking for a comparable replacement

Thanks for reaching out to us! Your exact Simonton coil balance shoe is no longer made but our 15-259 Coil Balance Pivot Shoe should work well as a suitable replacement. To confirm that this will be a fit in your window track, carefully look over the dimensions below and compare them.

This coil shoe is compatible with the Series 159 Coil Balance. To install them to the shoe, you'll need to hook the bottom coil to the shoe and then hook the other coil into that coil. The compatible support is the 15-256 3/4" Coil Double Support.

To determine the coil springs needed to complete your assembly, you'll need to look for any stamps/markings on the coils. If there are none, you'll need to obtain the exact weight of the sash and divide it by the total number of coils in the window; in this instance 4.

Your existing pivot bar will not be compatible with the 15-259 shoe, so you'll need to use the 26-083 Pivot Bar.
