Simonton Windows - Norandex

A home owner from Dexter, MI says:
Hi -
We previously contacted Norandex for service on our Simonton window warranty repairs. It seems the balancers are broken in a few windows I have. Some pictures are attached. How do I identify the correct parts needed to repair?

I have some neighbors looking to make the same repairs.

Thank you,
Kirk

Thanks for posting, Kirk. I believe your coil springs are 1/2" wide. Can you confirm? If so, I would recommend our Series 160 balance. When ordering the springs you will need the number stamp on the old springs. The pivot shoe could be either our 15-111 or 15-199. You will need to check to see whcih is closer. The coil spring cover you have is no longer available. You will need to use the 15-150D instead. Please note that the top of the cover is flat, so the manufacturer recommends bringing the springs down below the lowest point that the top tilt latches go when the window is in the closed position. That way, the latches won't hit the housing. You will need to drill a new installation hole.
