Simonton window balances are broken

Thanks for reaching out! Your Simonton coil balance shoe has been discontinued and is no longer made. The good new is that it can be replaced with the 15-259 Coil Balance Pivot Shoe. To confirm that this will fit in the window channel, carefully review and compare the dimensions below.

Dimensions for 15-259

You'll need to replace the coils in the assembly with the Series 159 Coil Balances. To confirm the correct spring strength needed, you'll need to look for any stamps/markings on the existing coils. The compatible cover is the 15-256 3/4" Coil Double Support.

Keep in mind, your existing pivot bar will not be compatible with the replacement shoe. That said, you'll need to replace it with the 26-083 Pivot Bar.
