Swisco pivot bar help

I ordered 10 units of S140-26 and the pivot shoe does not fit the side mount pivot bars that I have on my windows. Do you sell side mount pivot bars that fit this shoe? My order confirmation # is 2341148. I have attached a photo of the pivot bar I currently have on my windows. Thank you, Kris

Hi there Kris.

The Series 140 is compatible with a handful of pivot bars. You can start by having a look at the 26-398 and 26-405 but we can't promise a good fit to the sash if the S140 isn't what you had originally.

We'd be happy to confirm if you purchased the proper hardware but we would have to see a photo of the pivot shoe.

Thank you Emily. The shoe currently on the windows looks very similar to the shoe I purchased from you. The only difference is the new shoe I purchased has a smaller opening for the pivot bar to go into. Do you sell shoe with large openings?

We might but I can't say for sure without knowing what you may have. Can you show us a photo of your old pivot shoe?

Hi Emily, I have uploaded a photo of new shoe next to the original window shoe. There are very similar, but you can see original shoe has a larger opening for the pivot bar. The opening of the original shoe is approximately .0040" wider than the new shoe. This is why my current pivot bars will not fit.

Please let me know what other information you need.

Thanks for getting back to us. Your original pivot shoe was discontinued. The good news is that the 15-177 can work as a replacement, along with the Series 152 coil springs and related accessories. Look over these parts and let us know if you have any questions.

Thank you Emily. I noticed a different pivot bar on your website. Will the new shoes I ordered (S140-26) work with the 26-402? If so, this should be an easy fix and one that I didn't see previously.

Unforutnately, we do not carry a pivot bar compatible with the S140 assembly that would install the same way as your originals. If your pivot bars are still in good condition, one option would be to send back the S140 balances you purchased and order the 15-177 and related parts, which should be compatible with your original hardware. If not, you would need to carefully shave down the original pivot bars to fit the cam of the S140.
