Take out clips

A from Mayslanding says:
Hello in these photos I'm showing you to bounce one was a new one that was ordered the other ones the old one. I know the one old one has a tip broke off. What I'm trying to find out is on these windows there is no take out clip. There's a place for the one thing at the bottom to hook into but when you pour up there's no clip in the top and no place for a clip to hook into isThere a part missing it looks like that to me but if it is it's on both windows. If you can help me I would greatly appreciate that

Hello,

Many balance systems use take out clips like our 16-002 but yours seems to have an additional bracket that I'm unfamiliar with. I'm going to have one of our senior experts take a look at your photos to confirm the best replacement option. Thank you!

It looks like you have a very old Capitol Series 370 window. This was made before the take out clips were introduced, so they use a screw to act as a take out clip. You will need to order Series 370-25 (2410) window balance. For installation, you need to remove the top screw, then engage the balance top wings into the track at the top of the window cut out, then attach the balance hook to the 16-004 metal plate. While holding the balance down below the screw hole, attach the screw to act as a balance stop.
