Tilt Channel Balance Help

Question

Hello, this item arrived, and unfortunately it is not the right part. It is just a little bit thicker than the original and does not fit into the channel.

I've attached a few pictures. The original is about 3/8in thick and the new one is 1/2in thick. (The original is shorter overall because the top broke off, which is why I'm replacing it)

The channel that the item fit is was a 30C.

Please let me know if there is a correct part available, or if I would need to but the whole channel to put in as a replacement.
I would be worried that a replacement channel would also be too thick, if the shoe was too thick.
