Tilt Window Latch Identification

Home Owner from Ooltewah
The measurements are... 2 3/8 long, 3/4 wide, 3/8 tall, and 2 1/16 from center of screw hole to edge of window. There is only 1 screw hole. I would prefer metal, but black is the only must.

The windows are black aluminum. I'm not opposed to drilling another screw hole, if needed.

Hello! Based on your photo and information, I recommend the 26-089P. This looks like the best match in our inventory for your tilt latch.

The length is different, and it has a downward tab that is not on mine. Will the length difference matter? I would need black also, not white. I was looking at 26-188, what do you think? I can drill a new 2nd hole if needed.

The 26-188 definitely won't work. This one has two screw holes and is a lot wider than yours.

I wouldn't focus on the overall length so much as the distance between the center of the screw hole to the front edge of the housing. That's the most important dimension. I would also check to make sure you don't have that vertical tab after all. This type of latch always has one, in my experience.

We do sell this part in black, too. See the 26-089BP. My apologies for not recommending this right away; looking at your photo, I thought it was white and the front end was simply discolored.
