Top window sash guides

Handy Person from New York
Many of the windows in my home are old and the top sash guides keep breaking. I am hoping to replace them all. I am having trouble finding an appropriate replacement. I am hoping you can look at the photos and provide a recommendation.

Hi there!

Thank you for reaching out to us. We believe you may have an old Alsco window based on the top sash guide shown here. The 18-108 is the new style which we believe should fit your sash. We recommend you compare our specifications with yours just to be safe.

Paul,

Thank you for your response! I pulled out my calipers and you were spot on. I've been going through my windows and there are a couple of other parts that need replacing. Could you verify based on the information provided that I am ordering the correct parts?

Channel Balance 17" (1610): I believe it is either S351-17 or S390-17

Pivot Shoe: I believe 15-215 is the right part

Pivot Bar: I believe 26-405 is the right part

Do you know what the parts in the one picture are?

Thanks,

Corey

Yes, based on the photos given here it indeed looks like you may have the S351-17 or S390-17 channel balance with the 1610 stamp option. You'll have to measure the bottom shoe as shown below to determine the best match.

I agree with the pivot shoe and pivot bar you picked out. As long as the specifications align with yours, you should be good to go.

I'm afraid I don't recognize the plastic parts. Would it be possible for me to see a photo of them installed?
