Does this part come with the pin that sits inside the latch switch and the operator track?

Can you show me a picture of the pin in question? I believe you might be referring to the pin discussed here, in which case I am afraid the 38-144 does not come with it.

I am referring to the pin in the mentioned thread. Is there an alternative? I don't really want to replace all of my secondary locks with primary locks as on some windows I would have 3 or 4 primary locks.

Take a look at our 38-170. This has a 1/2" post. See if this is what you need.
