Window Balance for Alenco Window
Thanks for contacting us. This looks like our Series 795, but with the top screw tab replaced with a hook like our 15-198. This may need to be custom made. Before we begin, can you show me a photo of where your old top hook installed in the window track? There may be a way around it. Can you also tell me how many you need, just in case?
Regards,
JIM.
Great! Thank you. This won't have to be custom made after all. I think you can use our Series 795 as-is, but you'll also need to purchase our 26-200 screw plug separately. This screw plug pops in that square hole and will allow you to install the standard Series 795 without the need of for a hook.
When measuring these balances, you only want to count the metal channel. According to the stamp, it should be 33", which you also confirm in your first post. I think that will work best.
JIM.
Looks like your old stamp reads 33D, so I'd go with our 33D option. You can always weigh your sash to be 100% sure this is correct. We usually recommend that just in case.
I just wanted to let you know how much I appreciate your help with the window balances. I received them the other day and they went in without a hitch. I'm in customer service and know you hear the bad stuff so hears the good stuff. Your patience walking me through all the different steps was unsurpassed. I'll be singing SWISCO'S praises for a long time to come.
Regards,
Jim
Thank you so much for getting back to us! It makes me very happy to hear that your hardware worked out for you. I actually just came back from a week off and was expecting to hear from a lot of impatient customers, but this was the first message I saw the minute I sat down. Thanks for making this a good week right out the gate, and please let me know if you ever need anything else. We're always here to help.
