Window Balancer Replacement

Contractor from Bryan, TX
Hi,
I am looking to order some replacement balancers in these two variations. I see there are codes 27B and 27C. The length is 27" + the clips and the width appears to be 1/2". Can you direct me on which replacement balancers to order?

Hello, thank you for posting,

To further review, are you able to provide images of the attachment at the bottom of the metal channels? From there we can get a clearer idea of the series your window uses for possible replacement option. Thank you!

I apologize for the inconvenience, but I will need to see a picture of the bottom of the metal channel. I believe you are currently showing the top like the original pictures sent with the hook. The bottom should have some sort of plastic shoe or attachment that fits in the window channel. Thank you!

Unfortunately it appears that the bottom shoe attachment has broken off. Do you have any undamaged balances that we could view?

How many different variations could it be? I don't mind ordering each one if there are only a couple different variations.

I believe you may have the Series 795 channel balance with the 15-198 hook attached at the top. This configuration would require a custom and nonrefundable order to assemble the hook on the balance as the original comes with a screw in clip.

The screw clip would only be able to be used if the window has a square cutout to support the 26-200 screw plug to install the balance as is as shown below.

This balance comes equipped with the 15-195 closed cam T-lock shoe as shown below. But this balance can use different shoe variations. We commonly see this balance used with the equipped 15-195 closed cam or 15-195B open cam shoe that are both 1-1/4" wide. We also see balances used with the 15/16" wide 15-194 shoe.

These shoes can be swapped in and out.

Another possible variation is the 15-224 inverted link that is commonly attached to the 15-216 pivot shoe.

All these attachments can be interchanged, but we cannot confirm what the correct one is without seeing an original. Let me know what you think!
