Window Tension Part

Quick Learner from Rochester, NY
The Metal on a few of my windows that comes out of the Plastic part at top, crunched and then broke. Do you recognize this type of Spring Tension part? If you need more pictures I can take the window out for more. These are swing out windows for easy cleaning.

Hello,

Based on your description, it sounds like you need replacement coil springs that attach to your pivot shoes. We most likely have the replacements you need but we'll need to see your coils and shoes removed from the window and to know the width and thickness to narrow down your replacement options. I'll also relate some videos to help you with this process. Thank you!

These pictures are great. It looks like you have the S165 coil spring which is compatible with both  15-199 and 15-111 pivot shoes. Compare the width and thickness to determine which option you need if the pivot shoe needs to be replaced as well. I've also related some parts and videos for you to review. Thank you!

Ok here is the part removed. As you can see in image IMG_20200430_121205924 the bottom part of the plastic that houses the springs is also cracked. I also have a couple of other windows with bent springs so I would like to order about 6 sets of springs to have on hand. Or if you suggest replacing the entire unit itself I will order 6 of the complete set.
Thank You
Dee
