Hello,
Hopefully you can help me. I need new balances for 3 different size windows in our home, two for each balance numbers sent. Also the clips that go on top of the windows that grab the balances to remove the window. Lastly if you have them are 4 little plastic parts that snap on to the sides of each window, two on each side. I'm guessing they're guides so the metal doesn't rub against the sash? Our windows are 23 years old and most parts are dry rotting so I want to replace them all. Hope the photo's help.

Hello, thank you for writing in. We would be happy to help you find replacement channel balances. The stamps that you show tell us the necessary spring strengths, but we will still need to determine what series you have. In order to do this we will need to see clear images of the plastic fittings at either end of the channel. I would preferably like to see them from above with the open side of the channel, where the spring is revealed, facing up.
In regards to the other parts you mention, I believe the first you describe is our 16-002 take out clip. I'm not quite sure what the other one is. Could you show me some pictures of that part?

Thanks for your help, I think I got all the info needed to order my parts however do you happen to know what this plastic piece is that's mounted on the window and rides against the frame? I'm sure it's some type of glide to help the window slide but I have about 20 of them I need because they're worn out. Do you stock those and how much please? Thanks.

Hello again,
I was ordering (2) 25" series 395 channel balances and the stamp weight on my old balance is 245 DQ. I'm assuming that's equivalent to your 2450 option? If so I see you're out of stock but can I use the 2440 one instead? Wouldn't think there'd be a big weight difference between the 2 but I'm not sure. Thanks for any help.

Hi John. That small white square that you show looks like a face guide. You can view our selection here and see if any of ours meet your specifications. In regards to your balance, yes the 25-4 correlates to the 2540. We typically don't recommend going up or down on the stamp. Balances are calibrated to offset the weight of the window and a change in the spring strength can affect the proper functioning of the window. I apologize for the inconvenience.
