Great! We do offer a replacement for the old GU operator but if your link arm is 9" long, I'm not sure it will work for you. I'm going to have one of our senior experts take a look and confirm what your best replacement option would be. We'll reach out as soon as more information is available.

When the arm is extended the measures 8 1/2 " long

I suspect you may be measuring both the base arm and the link arm together. See how your operator compares to our dimensions below. If they match up, you can follow our video for converting from a discontinued GU operator to our 39-315 and 39-316. Thank you!
