Window crank not working

Home Owner from North Carolina
Greetings. Please find four enclosed photos of a casement window that we are no longer able to open or close. One photo shows the "pin" (for lack of the technical term) that connects the crank arm to the rest of the mechanism; it no longer stays in place when cranking the window is attempted. If we cannot replace the "pin" only, then what new mechanism do we need to install? Many thanks for your help.

That pin isn't something you can repair or replace, unfortunately. It's what's called a "worm gear," and when it comes out it usually means the gears are totally stripped. That unfortunately necessitates replacement of the entire operator.

The good news is that we sell it. See our 39-035 and 39-036.

I'd be happy to answer any other questions you may have, just let me know.
