Thanks for reaching out! I'm sorry to say that the worm gears on casement operators are not sold separately. When installed to the operator they are machine pressed, so it is not something that can be easily replaced.
The other troubling thing I'm noticing here is that this operator is also missing the arm that pushes the window in and out.
With that being said, you'll need to replace the entire casement operator. Therefore, I'll need to see a photo of an undamaged operator to recommend the correct replacement.
Are you able to provide a photo of an undamaged version?
Jasmine,
Thank you for your quick reply. What I should have requested was the inside assembly that includes the worm gear that the crank operates; however, since you noted that an arm is missing and that I need the entire operator, I will no longer need that part.
The picture of the arm that you requested is attached. The other picture is of the inside operating assembly located in a bay window opposite the one with the missing arm.
If there is anything else you need, I'll do my best to provide it.
Jim
Thanks for the photos. Yes, you did mention that you were looking for the internal parts of the operator, however, as explained the worm gears on casement operators are not sold separately. They are also not something that can be replaced in the home. With that said, even if you were not missing the arm, you'd still need to replace the entire operator.
Your operator appears to be an older style version of our 13-1/2" arm straight arm operator. Start with reviewing and comparing part 39-014 and its opposite handed version 39-013. Look over the dimensions from the diagram below to you existing hardware.
The compatible track is part 39-505. There are also 3 different handles that could possibly work as a replacement as well; the 39-114 (like the one you have), or the updated 39-114L non-folding or 39-205 folding crank handles.
Jasmine,
Once again, I thank you for your quick reply. I appreciate good service like you are providing.
I will check the dimensions and get back to you as soon as I determine if the operator is the one you suggested.
Best wishes,
Jim
