The installation hole centers of the 40-058 storm door handle set is 1-3/4". The measurement from the top screw hole to the center shaft is 7/8". The picture below is a view of the back of the handle with the dimensions you requested.

Are heavier duty 29 inch channel balances available from Swisco. I have ordered online from Swisco and was very satified. New E2R double glazed windows are heavier than standard double glazed -hence the need.
