desperate need of these balances

A quick learner from Richmond Hill, Ga says:

Can you please help is these tilt window black and tackle channel balances and hardware for inward tilting bottom sash of 9 light vinyl window

Also need the little tilt piece at the bottom of the window sash

channels are 34 in long and 1/2 x 1/2 -- spring is 20" long

also need the slide guides for inside the sash

Thanks for posting. These look like our Series 795 Channel Balances. If the metal channel, excluding the T-Lock Shoe attachment, is 34", then you will need our S795-34

It sounds like you wish to replace your pivot bars and top sash guides as well. We can help you with this, but we will need to see samples of both removed from the window sash. For the pivot bar, the distance between the center of the mounting hole(s) to the tip of the pivot bar would be most helpful. Many thanks.

The only difference between an open cam and closed cam is whether or not you can see straight though it. If you hold the cam up to your eye and you can see clear through it, then it's open. If you can't then it's a normal 15-195.

As for getting the sash back in there's no real trick. You want one balance to be lower then the other so you can get the sash in at an angle. The video below should show how we do it.
