Product Description
This is a series 795 block and tackle balance for tilt windows that moderates the operation of your window sash. It uses a specifically calibrated counter-balance system that allows the window to stay open when raised and remain shut when closed.
- The metal channel is 34" long and 9/16" wide, though it's considered 1/2" wide in the trade.
- Comes fully assembled with a top screw clip and bottom 15-195 T-Lock Balance Shoe with a Closed Cam. All other shoe styles are sold separately.
- Used by International and other manufacturers.
- All window balances are sold individually, not in pairs
- Can work for either the left or right side of the window interchangeably.
- Spring strength is denoted by the stamp option printed on the metal channel. If you do not have a stamp option, weigh the sash on a scale and refer to the chart below.
Stamp Option | Sash Weight Range |
A | 11 to 16 lbs |
B | 16 to 22 lbs |
C | 22 to 27 lbs |
D | 27 to 32 lbs |
E | 32 to 34 lbs |
*This information is based on 2 balances per sash. Balances are designed
assuming friction in the jamb weather-strip will carry a portion of the sash
weight. Suggested sash weights are approximate.

Good Idea!
Balances are sold individually, however, it is a good idea to replace both window balances at the same time. Pairing a new balance with an old one would cause the new balance to wear out faster.

Helpful Tip!
The stamp option is a code that indicates how much weight a pair of balances can support. You can use the stamp on your original channel balance as a reference in most cases, or you can weigh your sash and refer to the chart above. If your sash€™s weight falls outside the weight ranges listed on that chart, or you are still unsure how to proceed,
