no to find the correct spring balance system for my windows

Question

I ordered 26 lb series 140 quick tilt , triple spring balance system and I think it is too deep for my windows. I am attaching photos of my spring system against a measurement ruler.

The channel break has part # 5.704.165 stamped on it.
The springs have0.35" inked on it and one of the springs has stamped on it ?32208.
I do not know who manufactured the windows. I have not been able to identify the manufacture. There are no production stamp or labels.

Before I return the six spring mechanisms I purchased, I would like to find out what series I should order.

Thanks for posting. Sorry to hear the Series 140 did not work for you. See our Return Policy here. Your old shoe looks like our 15-199, which works with either 1/2" thick Series 160 springs, or 3/8" thick Series 165 springs. Measure the thickness of your old coil springs to determine which series is best. This particular coil balance system is modular, meaning each piece is sold separately. You have to choose spring weights for each individual coil you're replacing--these denote the weight each individual spring can support. Because the stamps on your old balances aren't entirely clear, I'd like you to weigh the window sash that these springs support. Give me that exact weight, and I can work out the spring weights you need.
