operator replacement

A quick learner from Michigan says:
I need some help choosing a replacement for the casement window in the picture. My main problem is that the handle is 4 inches long. All of the operators on line seem to have a length of 5 inches at least. SO they will not fit in the opening in the wood I currently have.

thank you
Cris

Tom from SWISCO responded:
Thanks for posting. Your operator looks similar to our 39-013 and 39-014. Look these over and see what you think. As for the handle, I'm not sure what you mean. Have you seen our 39-114L? This is what's usually used with your type of operator, and is only 3-1/16" long.

Thank you.

I mean by handle actually the horizontal part where the handle inserts into. The part that sticks outside of the wood is 4 inches. I just don't see anything less than 5 inches so it will not fit into te wood sill.

Oh, I see. You're referring to the base. The base of the 39-013 and 39-014 is approximately 4" at its very widest.
