part repacment for windows

Quick Learner
One window is missing crank mechanism for window that opens to the left. I also need to two additional straight arms and crank for same type of window, one opens left the other opens right.

It's tough to make out what you have from these photos, but I think we can still help. Before I recommend anything, can you remove the operator you still have from the window entirely and show me one clear picture that has the entire mechanism in frame? I need to see the whole configuration, arm and all. Thank you!

Thank you so much for the answer. I was able to take window part off. Do these pictures help better identify to product ?

I'm sorry for the misunderstanding. What I specifically need to see is the operator removed from the window. You show some of it in your third picture here, but it's still too obscured to ID. I need you to remove it entirely.

Your first two photos only show the hinge, which doesn't tell me anything about the missing operator. Right now we need to use the operator you still have as a reference for the missing part.

Thank you, but I does this mean I have to take the working window apart and pull out the wood Frame from it ?

That is a possibility. Many operators in this style have exposed screws, but if you have wood trim covering it then I understand if you may not want to remove it just yet. I certainly wouldn't.

In that case, my top suggestion right now is going to be the 39-014. I think this might be what you have, but there are three important details to consider:

  • The length of the arm (from the center of the bearing to the center of the gear)
  • The style of the wheel bearing at the end of the arm
  • The screw plate that attaches it to the sill

The screw plate doesn't have to have all its holes in the exact same spots; our 39-014 comes with a number of holes for that reason. You just need to make sure it's the same style. Look it over and see what you think.

Thank you so much. it looks about right. I took some additional photos looking at the length, style of the wheel bearing at the end of the arm and The screw plate that attaches it to the sill. this is my right opening one that is still working.

The wheel bearing certainly looks to be the same style, but I'm afraid I cannot verify the length of the arm. It's too difficult to get an accurate read from these photos. You will at least have to disconnect the arm from the track to verify that it lines up with the recommended hardware.

Thank you, I will order this. I also have other windows but I need to make your job easier and disconnect that one this week :-)

by the way I also ordered 39-205 - Truth Folding Crank Handle, 11/32", I assume this will work with it ?

Great! We appreciate the order, it means a lot. And yes, the 39-205 handle and 39-014 operator are fully compatible.

Quick Learner from Another crank
Hi there , thank you on the previous crank. I have another one that is so loose, the wheel comes off the channel. Can you please let me know which one I need. It looks same length as previous one. But this windows crank is located as shown on image

Sure, that looks to be the opposite handed operator to the one we previously recommended. That would be our 39-013. Check it out and let me know if you had any questions.
