These latches are attached to vinyl windows. The locking mechanism is attached by two screws 2 5/8 inches apart. The locking receiver is held by two screws 1 inch apart. The only marking on the lock states "interlock". The latching mechanism appears to be plastic set in some type of cast metal. Th ... (cont.)

Window lock jammed and will not release to open. Want see if this is a cover and will pop off to access the lock to remove and replace.

We have 40+ of these older wen locks, which don't seem to be the same size as current versions of same (screw holes not the same). Besides, these are too clever and get stuck all the time.
