To start, can you tell me what product you purchased from us to begin with? Can you also show me clearer photos of your original balance? I want to see the bottom shoe, specifically. I also need you to tell me the length of the metal channel and the stamp printed on it. Finally, please show me a photo of the hole in the window frame where the hook installs. Depending on its shape, and the other details I've requested, you may still be able to use our assembly.
Thanks! Looks like you have a round hole in the frame, which means you unfortunately won't be able to use our Series 795. I recommend returning it to us for a refund at your earliest convenience. You can see our return policy here.
The balance you need will have to be a custom order. It would be the same thing but with a 15-198 hook at the top.
I'll take the liberty of emailing you a purchase link and price quote now. This balance will be identical to the ones you already purchased, but with that clip installed at the top. You can use that link to place a new order on our site. The minimum purchase quantity for custom orders is 2. You always want to replace these in pairs, anyway.
Before you buy anything, make sure to review all relevant details one last time. Custom balances are non-refundable, and I can't see enough of your old balance to verify beyond all doubt that it is identical. I am taking your word that it is the same, but you can never be too safe.
The lead time is approximately 5-6 business weeks, as the 15-198 is not currently in stock. Please let me know if you had any questions and I'd be happy to address them.
Well, that's ultimately up to you. If you're handy and if you have a bench vice, then you can try to swap the 15-198 clip onto the balances you already purchased from us. However this can be tricky and it's not something a lot of customers are comfortable doing themselves, due to the high amount of tension these balances are under.
What I'm offering you is an all new custom made balance, top to bottom, with the 15-198 clips attached for you here in our shop.
If that interests you, you can place an order for them using the link I just sent you and then return the other balances for a refund.
If you'd rather do it yourself, you can keep those balances and just buy the 15-198 clips yourself. You can do that anytime you want. Just make sure to wear safety gloves and goggles before you try to swap the clips. If the cord gets away from you, that metal clip has a high chance of shattering.
