simonton 5500 window

Question

The pivot bar on my Simonton 5500 double hung is broken. Please help me get new hardware. The window is 18 pounds.Shown are the spring with #11 stamped on it as well as the pivot bar and shoe.

Thanks for reaching out to us! The Simonton shoe and pivot bar you have pictured here are no longer made but the good news is we do have a suitable alternative that should work well as a replacement.

Take a look at the 15-259. Carefully compare the dimensions to your existing shoe to determine if it would be a fit. This shoe is compatible with the Series 159 Coil Balance. Since your existing coil is marked with an 11, I would suggest using the S159-11 coil spring. The 15-255 Coil Single Support is used to cover the coil spring.

Your existing pivot bar will not be compatible with our coil balance, so you'll need to replace it with the 26-083 Pivot Bar.
