window parts

Quick Learner from Sandusky, OH
I'm helping an elderly couple enjoy their installed window and save them money getting the parts to fix instead of replace the whole window.  I'm not sure about some of these items, I hope that these pictures will help determine their replacement part numbers.  One item I noticed was the spring loaded pivot bar combo with the stationary pivot bar on the other side of the window.  Please help.

Hi there!

Thanks for reaching out to us. This appears to be a tilt spiral balance like the 3/8" diameter Series 900 or 5/8" diameter Series 600. You'll have to measure the outer tube to determine the best match.

The pivot shoe resembles the 15-046 but we recommend you remove it from the window sash and compare the specifications to confirm.

Regarding the pivot bar, you might consider the 26-040 model along with the 26-016 spring. However, it's important to verify that the specifications match your existing hardware. We believe the spring was included as a clever way to facilitate easier removal of the sash, as detaching the pivot bar from the pivot shoe's cam can be quite tricky.
