Wood Window Vent Latch Set

This double hung wood window sash vent latch set includes 2 lock assemblies; 2 strike-plates & installation screws. The brass plated steel sash locks mount onto the edge of the upper window sash; sliding stud stops opening at a desired location. Offers added security for wood windows, allows ventilation but prevents entry; easy to install.

Installation Tips

Position locks on the side rails of the top sash, as show in the demonstration drawing. Location about four to six inches above the top rail of the lower sash. Secure the locks with the screws provided. Secure the brass strikeplate to the top rail of the lower sash as shown.

Operation

To lock window, slide the bolt to the inside of the window as shown. The bolt will enable the bottom of the sash to be raised or the top window sash to be lowered four to six inches, for ventilation.
