30" Series 500 Spiral Balance

Product Description
Series 500 spiral tube sash balance with cross piece for a non-tilt window. The tube measures 30" in length with an internal rod that measures 30-1/2" in length. The tube diameter will actually measure 9/16" but it is considered 5/8" in the trade. Spiral window balances come fully lubricated and ready to be charged.
Color Tip Sash Weight Range
Red 7 to 29 lb
Blue 12 to 31 lb
Black 31 to 40 lb
*This information is based on 2 balances per sash. Balances are designed assuming friction in the jamb weather-strip will carry a portion of the sash weight. Suggested sash weights are approximate.
Good Idea!
Balances are sold individually, however, it is a good idea to replace both window balances at the same time. Pairing a new balance with an old one would cause the new balance to wear out faster.
