Product Description

Nylon sliding window lock and pull with 2-7/8" installation screw holes. As you move the slide up and down there is a spring-loaded steel pin that releases. Used by Portalume, and fits on old Air Control (Keller) windows.
Installation: Remove the two screws attaching the old latch to the window frame and remove old components. Install spring onto aluminum pin and insert into hole on window frame. Turn new latch over and observe inside cavities. The flat spring must be installed into slot on back side of the raised curved divider, curve on spring must match the curve on the plastic divider. Install latch so that the larger cavity with flat spring points down; tighten screws securely and check for smooth operation.

Helpful Tip!

This part does not include new fasteners. Do not throw away your original screws, you will need them for the installation of your new part.

This piece is broken. This is what locks my windows. The price goes into a whole in the frame of the window and has a pin that locks it in place from being pulled out. When you pull it out.
