Double hung window spring balance

Question

There is a hook where two spring is attached and is under constant tension . The number on these two balance is 6 and 5 on each side of window. Can you send some instructions videos on how to remove and install new complete balances. I need to order asap. Thank you
I had previously inquire sbout another set of balances for another older window I have. I need to order parts for that window as well . Ty

Thanks for writing in! The window balance assembly you have is the 15-087 Coil Housing Pivot used with the 15-086 Tandem Coil Housing.

These are compatible with the Series 180 Coil Balance Springs, which are sold separately from the housings. Since yours are marked with a 5 and 6, you'll need the S180-05 and the S180-06.

You may also need the 16-024 Mounting Bracket (or one similar to it) and the 26-040 Pivot Bar.
