7lb long tongue coil for 15-177 shoe

Hi,

I need a 7lb long tongue coil for the top of a two spring window. The shoe is 15-177 and I have the bottom coil that's S152-6. What is the long coil that will work with these?

All the Series 152 Coil Balances have the same travel length. If you need a second coil for this window that supports 7 lbs individually, see the S152-7.

Thanks, Bob. I need a long tongue option to replace my existing top coil. I've uploaded a picture of my current set-up. The top coil says 6k and the bottom coil says 7k. I previously purchased both 6lbs and 7lbs bottom coils with short tongues. Is there a long tongue option?

There is no long tongue version of the Series 152. These coils should work fine in conjunction with the 15-177 shoe, even when stacked atop the other. Is there a specific problem you are having with installation? Be precise as possible in your description.

Bob,
My problem is without a long tongue on the top coil, the holes don't align so I can't screw them both to the shoe. These don't easily uncoil - I tried. In the pictures attached the bronze coils are my existing setup and the silver coils are my new set up. You'll see the holes on the silver coils don't align. Are there any long tongue coils that will work with this shoe? Any other options for me? Appreciate your responses,

Thanks for clarifying. I'm afraid there's no real trick to this. Simply screw the spring in and pull it up and over the first spring. It's not always easy to do this, especially if the spring has a lot of tension, but it's how this is done. Let me know if you have any further questions.
