Channel shoe

Question

Im trying to match this shoe. Not the typical channel shoe. Do you need to replace the whole balance assembly? You see the rusted out one in question. First time I have seen this style of shoe with a channel balance.

Thanks for your post! This window balance can be replaced with our S765-27, with a pivot shoe hook. You'll need the 26-5 stamp option. The 26-053A Balance Stop can typically found at the top of the window, covering the screws.

The pivot shoe is likely to be the 15-046 but you'll need to compare the specifications. There is a good chance you'll also need to replace the pivot bar. The 26-040 should work for the repair.
