Sounds like you need new coils balances and pivot shoes. I'd be happy to help, but we need a photo of the pivot shoe before we can make a recommendation for either. I also need you to tell me the depth of the spring itself. It should be either 1/2" or 3/8".
Once we have that information, we can make a recommendation.
Thanks! Your pivot shoe appears to match our 15-199. Regarding the shoe, please understand that we cannot determine precise size from a photo of a tape measure as a matter of policy. All dimensions must be verified on your end and written out to ensure clarity and precision.
The two options are the 1/2" Series 160 and the 3/8" Series 165.
That would be the cover. Does this hold two springs? If so, you want the 15-150D (if you have the Series 160) or 15-204 (if you have the Series 165).
put together that would be great ?
We don't have instructions for this particular product, but we have a general instructional video that covers the same basic principles. I will be honest with you: coil balances are not the easiest thing in the world to replace. If you've never done this before, you should strongly consider hiring someone to do it for you.
With your old stamp reading for 4 pounds, that would correspond to our S165-4. This is a 3/8" spring calibrated to hold 4 pounds per spring.
The stamp on the spring is what you use to match up the proper weight calibration. You can also weigh your sash to verify. With two 4 pound springs on each side, your sash should weigh 16 pounds. That would confirm it beyond any doubt. It's usually always a good idea to weigh your sash prior to buying new balances just to be safe, so I would recommend it.
