Stripped Crank for a Bonneville Casement Window

Home Owner from Fairfield, CT
The crank in our Bonneville casement window is stripped and I have to push it initially to open it. Once opened about an inch, the crank then works. My assumption is that I need to replace the full crank unit. I am attaching phots of the crank (white), the window sill where the crank unit attaches to the window and the label on the actual window. Where can I get a crank unit to replace mine and/or is there a simpler way to fix the crank?

I agree, it sounds like the gears in your operator are stripped out. We can definitely help, but I need a more complete photo of the operator in whole. That includes the arm, which is mostly obscured in your photo. You don't have to take it out, you just have to at least disconnect the arm from the track so that I can see the whole thing. Thanks!

Here are pictures of the stripped crank unit. Is this what you need?

Thank you, Bruce, that photo is perfect. That operator looks very similar to our 39-014 (opposite side being 39-013), which has a 13-1/2" long arm. Yours looks a bit long so I think that may be what you want. Just in case my eyes are way off, though, we also sell the 39-028E (opposite side being 39-027E), which is the same part but with a 9-1/2" long arm.

Tom - The arm is 13.5 inches long from the wheel at the tip to the white base where the crank handle resides. So it looks like 39-014 part would be correct. Should I just order it online or can you help me?

Great! I can't place an order for you here, no, but you can order directly from our site whenever you wish.
