I am trying to find coil balance replacements for my windows. They appear to be tandem style and I attached photos to give you an ideas as to what I am looking for. The bottom window sash is 31". Do you have something that would work?

I think we can help, yes. See our 15-199 pivot shoe, Series 165 coil spring, and 15-205 cover. Could this hardware be what you need? Keep in mind you only need to replace what has broken and reuse the rest. Let me know what you think of my recommendations.

I had originally submitted a request for info on the S140 Unit (through the website) and entered my sash size and weight, but have not heard anything back. I would rather replace the entire balance unit for all 6 windows (12 total). Can I use the S140? If so, what size should I use?
I believe the windows were 30" long X 33" wide and 20lbs. Jim

No, I don't believe the Series 140 can work for you. That is a whole different kind of coil balance setup. It's best to replace the hardware with the same type that was installed originally.

I should have listened to you! You are correct, the Series 140 did not work and I had to return them. I subsequently went with your original suggestion and had absolutely no issues with fixing my windows. The Series 140 was appealing b/c it was one unit (balance, shoe, cover) as opposed to having to buy the individual parts separately and piecing them together. However, it was very easy and worked out perfectly. In fact, I was able to reuse all but one of the actual coil balances with the new covers & shoes. Thanks!
