Truth Hardware on a casement window
Issue: The operator arm that goes to the track on the window falls out of the track...the wheel bearing plastic exterior looks worn, and the arm does not seem to have any tension to keep the arm in the track.
The track on the window looks to be 11.375 long, with 4 holes 3.25 apart (39-505?).
I have attached images.
Do you have an exact replacement for the operator (need left and right) ? Or something that is compatible without alot of re-engineering? An alternative?
Thank-you
Thank you for reaching out to us. The operator reminds me of an older version of the 39-013 and 39-014, as well as the 39-027E and 39-028E. Look over the dimensions and see how they compare with your old operator. If the specifications of your track match up to the 39-505 then you should be good to go!
The width is 4" and you can find our return policy here just in case!
Looks like I need the 39-027E CLAY (and the left side too)
Any idea when it will be back in stock??
The operator arm is VERY loose up and down so there is NO tension to keep the arm in the track when it gets to the opening...it just falls out
A new operator I presume will NOT have that issue?
Thank you
The 39-027E operator is a newer version of the one you have so the dimensions should match up fine. The operator will not be "loose" like your existing operator and it should work smoothly in your window. One idea would be when you get ready to install the new operator, you lubricate the track and the hinge top and bottom with some type of spray lubricant. Also, with the operator removed try to operate the window "manually" with your hand to see if it works smoothly.
I'm afraid we don't have an ETA for when this color option will be back in stock. We recommend you sign up on the 39-027E store page to be auto-notified when we get this back on the shelf. I apologize for any inconvenience.
