Window Balance

Question

I'm needing multiple new window balances as they are failing at our 100 unit apartment complex. There is no writing of any kind on the parts (no letters, no numbers).

Thanks so much for reaching out to us. We can help with this assembly, but note that we only sell the individual components separately.

Start by looking at our 15-199 pivot shoe. This is compatible with two spring sizes: the 1/2" Series 160 or the 3/8" Series 165. You need to measure the width of the coil band on your original springs to verify the better option.

For the cover, go with 15-150T if you have the Series 160, or the 15-205 if it's the Series 165 instead.

Lastly, since there's no stamps on your springs, then you need to weigh your sash on a scale to determine the proper spring calibration. You just divide that weight by the number of springs supporting it (6, in your case) and that's the weight you want for each spring.
