Broken window thing

I have a window that does not stay open. When I raise it, it slams shut. When I looked, I think it's because this bracket thing that is attached to the base of the window is broken. (See images). please help.

broken lock handle

we have broken the lock handle. inner mechanism appears to be ok. lock plate is 4 inches with screw holes 2.5 inches apart. only Andersen markings could not find any part numbers. house was built 2004.
