I need to replace the acorn door latch on my sliding aluminum screen door. However, the threaded blind screw stud rivet is missing from the door. It must have fallen out. can I install this acorn latch as a new lock for my sliding screen door?

I have a set of 4 shoji screen sliding doors on a double track (two doors on each track). When the 4 doors are put together, the act as a room divider almost 12 ft long. Back in July '15 I bought a 83-004 latch for our screen door. I mounted it successfully and it has worked for almost a year. Now it no longer grips into the threads of the "face plate" which is glued to the door. Can I get a new "face plate" and what is the item number? Alternatively a new plate a ... (cont.)
