I'm seeking replacement balance parts for four windows. I can't find any identifying information on the windows themselves. One window is 16 pounds and has the hardware shown in the first two photos. I have a bath room window that needs new springs to hold it up---it weighs 10lb--it is the 190 series 1/2 in width spring-------I think it would be the 540---it has 17in of window travel-----wish you had the specs for each spring on the web page..

which of the series 190 sash support coil balances is able to support 9,5 lbs?

I had a window made by MI Windows and Doors, Inc. and the coil balance was broken and could not hold the opened windows. The window is MI 8500 series (WxH 85in x 75in). How can I identify the right coil balance parts from yours and replace with the broken ones. Your help is greatly appreciated. ... (cont.)

The window manufacturer is balancing out the weight of the window with one heavy and one lighter spring. You should replace exactly what you have. The 640 is stronger than the 540.
