Image 1 is the broken coil balance. It's a dual coil balance. The detent clip is 3/4 inches wide and 3 inches long. The coil spring is 1/2 inch wide. The sash is 8 lbs. Used with 540 S190 Coil Balance

One single coil balance spring in my one double glazed window was broken. I took it off and checked the number stamped on it. It can be read as "9" or "6" but I weighed this window, which is about 20 lbs. However, I do not find any product in S190 series that can hold 9 lbs. If it is "9", it means t ... (cont.)

I don't see any manufacturer's name on the windows. I also don't see any stamping on the coils. The home was built by Ryan Homes. I would like to replace the coil balances in about five windows.

Replaced glass in 3 windows. Coils no longer working perhaps because they are 18+years old and new glass is heavier.

When the house was built in 2006 these windows were new. I expect they are basic contractor grade windows. Looking to repair the mechanism that lifts and guides the window.

Trying to determine which replacement coil to order. Sash weighs 20 lbs.

Windows have dual coil balance springs on each side of window. Upper coil spring is labeled 440 and lower coil spring is labeled 540 Width of spring is 1/2 inch Weight of window is 23.4 pounds Springs are 25 years old. All other parts work properly, tilt window shoe locks etc. Springs ... (cont.)

The only part number I can find is on the coil #540. The window weighs 19 lbs. Instead of buying 4 #540 coils for ea. window would 2 S140-19 work for ea. window and 2 pivot bars?

I need this component replaced on my window. Here are some pictures. The weight of the window is 32 lbs. The depth of the coil is 1/2 inch. The number of the coil is 6 with the screw above it or 9 the other direction. I have more pictures

There is a number 8 on the coil. What parts do I need to replace? Will need replacement par6s so I can install by Thursday at the latest for a house closing Friday morning. Any help in expediting would be appreciated. Have ordered parts before. Thanks Vic

Hi, I have a window that won't stay open. I took a look and saw that the coils are broken. The shoe looks like to be 15-180 but there is no marking on the coil. The sash size is 33 X 28 and it is weight about 19 lbs. There is one coil on each side. Also, the "S" shaped pivot bar on one side is broke ... (cont.)
