How is the 40-184 handle secured to the 5/16 shaft? I have a patio door handle, that is similar, but to handle connection ring is breaking so snap ring will not hold it. See photo image 1328.

Looking for replacement for this handle pair. From my research it seems similar to 40-184 here but I need a black/oil rubbed one and this is chrome. Do you think if I've found the right model for the replacement, and if so, any other colors? Thanks!

I need to replace a door handle that has a Papiz lock. It has handles inside and out that point down. I can't find any Papiz handle like it. All the handles on web point sideways.. Need some help. I hate to buy a whole new front storm door just because of this handle. thank you
