Can this soft close adapter be used on drawers?

Can you also use these for cabinet drawers?

I see the length and width dimensions for this item on the Swisco Web site. What is the height?

Will this plastic soft door closer adapter work on a hinged bench top to help prevent pinched fingers? The top is 3/4" birch plywood about 36" wide and 18" deep to the hinge. Would two be required for this type of weight? I have 6 benches to do. Thanks.
