straight arm operator

Contractor from 50023
I'm looking for an operator just like 39-407 but the arm is shorter. 8' from the end to the
bend in the arm. Can I get something that size?

We don't have that exact size, but I would say the closest we have is our 39-138. This arm is 9-1/2" long. Would this work for you?

Can I get the 39-138 in dark bronze and right hand? If so what would that number be?

Sure, the 39-138 is available in dark bronze. "Right" vs "Left" designations for operators vary from person to person and manufacturer to manufacturer, so I don't want to guess incorrectly as to which side you're referring to. Believe me, everyone thinks right and left mean different things for these windows. I've been burned before.

What I can tell you is that the 39-138 has the same orientation as the 39-406 you were looking at before. You should look at the photos we show on the 39-138 store page and note the position of the spline and arm to confirm that it's the same orientation as what you have now. The 39-139 would be the opposite side.

The 39-407. Is what I would call a right hand operator. Do you agree? Is it dark bronze?

I would actually consider the 39-407 to be left-handed! I think it's best that we not use those terms to avoid confusion. It's much better to go off of physical details, like the position of the spline and handle and the direction the arm faces when "closed."

If you need your new operator to have the same orientation as the 39-407, see our 39-139. The 39-139 has a 9-1/2" long arm and is available in dark bronze.
