tilt balance replacement and pivot bar

A quick learner from US says:
I have a broken channel balance and tilt pin on a M&W 800 Series double hung window. I think the channel balance is the 36" Series 795 (36C), but I have not been able to identify the tilt pin on your web site. I am including pictures, please let me know if you have this part.

Thanks,

Don

See if the 26-402 matches up to the pivot bar. Let me know what you think. This isn't a very usual pivot bar to be seen with a Series 795, but it's not impossible either given the pin shape. For the balance, confirm it attaches to the top of the window track using a screw-clip; if it uses a hook instead, let me see the hole where that hook connects to. For the T-Lock Shoe, see if it matches our 15-195B

A quick learner from US says:

Your 26-402 seems to be a little different. I have ordered the S795-36c and I found a clouded sash in the basement that I can remove the pivot from. The channel balance connects to the bottom of the sash with the pivot and the only other connection is the cord that attaches to a hook at the top of the track. I could not see how the hook is attached. I removed the broken balance by taking out the knot securing it to the hook. I assumed I could put the replacement back the same way. So if the S795-36c is a match I should be good. Please confirm.

Thanks for your assistance.

Hey Don. Is that hook on top like our 15-198? If so, that will be an issue, because our standard Series 795 attaches to the window jamb with a screw tab. Now, if the hole that hook goes into is square-shaped, then you can place a 26-200 screw plug in that hole and use the standard balance just fine. If it's a different shape though, then it's best we custom build Series 795 balances for you that have the 15-198 hook on top. We can do that without issue, just let me know how you want to proceed, as well as how many of these balances you'd need.
